The pass.

One bundle, every door. Paste whatever you are carrying — a jar card, a field-guide leaf, a signed page, a few words — and the ladder names it and offers the cheapest rung that fits: a code on paper, a river of light, or a paste by hand. No server picks the road; the road is the one the two of you can walk.

What you're carrying

The ladder

The rung is whatever fits. A small bundle rides one code and a steady hand. A longer one rides the river of frames. Everything can be pasted. When the sound handshake is built it will be the rung for a camera-blocked room; the live hello stays a call, not a delivery. The ladder is a rule for choosing, never a chain of command.

It never pretends to know more than the scheme in front of it. The pass reads the bundle's own name — hand://, a cs-place.v1 leaf, a .escrow.json bundle — and names what the next door should do with it. Unrecognized words are just words, and they travel just as well.

The rule lives at communityservices.cc/COMMS.md; the queue is issue #113.
